Help students minimize risks when using financial services

On the afternoon of April 5, at the University of Science (Hue University), the Department of Communications (State Bank of Vietnam) coordinated with a number of units to organize the "Financial Literacy" contest, attracting a large number of students to participate.

The event is part of a series of financial education programs organized by the Department of Communications (State Bank of Vietnam), aiming to help young people quickly access and improve their understanding and knowledge of banking and finance.

Students shared knowledge about the history of Vietnamese currency

On this occasion, experts from the State Bank shared and provided useful and interesting knowledge about the history of Vietnamese currency, the value of money, some forms of payment, and notes on non-cash payments...

This is an opportunity for students to access basic financial knowledge such as: reasonable spending, saving, investing; understanding about money and the history of Vietnamese currency, how to behave with money, and knowing how to appreciate the value of labor.

The program also shares a lot of historical and cultural knowledge through quick questions.

Many students enthusiastically answered questions

Phan Bao Phu, a student at the University of Science (Hue University), said he was quite excited about the Q&A session about the history of Vietnamese currency, or learning about banking services, payments, security in using banking services...

Ms. Le Thi Thuy Sen, Director of the Communications Department (State Bank of Vietnam), said that this unit is and will continue to implement financial education programs with many creative forms, spreading more strongly to remote, border and island areas.

The program aims to promote the implementation of the national financial inclusion strategy, especially targeting young people to spread smart financial knowledge and skills. Thereby, minimizing risks for consumers when using financial services, contributing to protecting consumers in Vietnam.
