This evening, December 31, Acting Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ha Sy Dong visited, encouraged and presented flowers to congratulate the units responsible for finalizing and closing the State budget at the end of 2024, including: State Bank of Vietnam, Quang Tri Province Branch and the Provincial State Treasury.

In 2024, the State Bank of Vietnam, Quang Tri branch, focused on directing credit institutions in the area to direct credit to production and business sectors, priority sectors and economic growth drivers according to the Government's policy; ensuring safe and effective credit activities. As of December 26, the unit has basically completed the targets according to plan. Capital mobilization increased by 12%, reaching more than 40,500 billion VND; total outstanding debt of the whole industry reached nearly 56,000 billion VND. Bad debt is at a safe level.
Digital transformation and cashless payments have been vigorously implemented; the Ministry of Public Security's Vneid citizen data software has been applied; biometrics have been applied in electronic transactions for citizens. By 2025, all banking transactions must apply biometrics.

According to the report of the Provincial State Treasury, up to now, regular budget expenditure activities have disbursed over 74%, expected to be completed 100% in January 2025. The application of information technology in State Treasury operations meets professional and technical requirements.
In addition, the State Treasury has requested units in the entire system to closely follow programs and plans and promptly overcome shortcomings and limitations; ensuring smooth and stable budget payments.

At the places visited, Acting Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ha Sy Dong acknowledged and commended the efforts and determination of all officials, civil servants, public employees, and employees of the State Bank of Vietnam, Quang Tri branch, and the Provincial State Treasury in performing their duties. Emphasizing that the activities of the banking sector in 2024 have contributed to controlling inflation, maintaining macroeconomic stability, supporting the recovery and socio-economic development of the province; promptly orienting the operations of commercial banks to adapt to market developments.
It is recommended that in 2025, the unit continue to overcome difficulties, effectively direct credit institutions to strive to fulfill their targets, ensure safe and effective credit growth; effectively implement monetary, credit and financial mechanisms and policies to support and remove difficulties for people and businesses, promote recovery and development of production and business; and accompany local authorities to effectively carry out social security work.

Providing some key information about the province's socio-economic situation in 2024, especially the key projects implemented in the province in the past time, Acting Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ha Sy Dong requested the Provincial State Treasury to continue to proactively implement professional tasks; coordinate effectively with sectors, localities and units to excellently complete assigned tasks, especially in the period of arranging and organizing the apparatus of the streamlined political system, operating effectively and efficiently according to Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW of the Central Committee, thereby contributing to increasing sustainable budget revenue sources for the locality, creating important resources to help the province smoothly carry out all socio-economic development tasks.
On the occasion of the New Year, Acting Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ha Sy Dong sent his best wishes to the officials, civil servants, public employees and workers at the State Bank of Vietnam, Quang Tri Province Branch and the Provincial State Treasury for good health and happiness; to continue to successfully complete the assigned tasks, and to actively contribute to the overall development of the province.
