Deputy Minister of Education and Training Hoang Minh Son said this is the 7th year the National Press Award for Vietnam Education has been held.

The award aims to honor authors with excellent journalistic works about the education cause, about typical collectives and individuals who have made many contributions to the education cause, thereby emphasizing the value and enhancing the importance of the education sector in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland, while attracting the attention of all levels, sectors and society to the education cause of Vietnam.

According to Deputy Minister Hoang Minh Son, each year, the organizing committee learns from experience to make the award more meaningful, bring great value and spread positive values to society.

In addition to reflecting hot issues, typical examples and models, Deputy Minister Hoang Minh Son expressed his hope that the entries will address systemic issues with long-term impacts such as policies of the Party, State, and Ministry of Education and Training; visionary works with forecasts so that the education sector has more basis to perfect policies.

The organizers also expressed their encouragement for works that discover problems, point out bottlenecks, and factors leading to negative aspects that hinder the development of education in a constructive spirit, while also proposing solutions to resolve those bottlenecks.

In response to the question about the lack of a press photo category in the award, the organizers said that in reality, this is a category with not many entries. Therefore, the organizers will conduct a survey before deciding whether to award a separate award for this category or not, to avoid the situation where the number of entries is not large, affecting the quality of the award.
