World gold price this afternoon June 14 , 2024 and chart of world gold price fluctuations in the past 24 hours
According to Kitco, the world gold price recorded at 2:00 p.m. today, Vietnam time, was at 2,307.16 USD/ounce. Today's gold price decreased by 4.89 USD/ounce compared to yesterday's gold price. Converted according to the current exchange rate at Vietcombank, the world gold price is about 69,826 million VND/tael (excluding taxes and fees). Thus, the price of SJC gold bars is still 5.154 million VND/tael higher than the international gold price.

The world spot gold price stood at 2,307.16 USD/ounce, down more than 4 USD/ounce compared to the same trading session yesterday. The yellow precious metal continued to decline in the context of the US dollar rising strongly, the DXY index - comparing the greenback with a basket of other currencies - surpassed the 105 mark in today's session.
In addition, the monetary policy of the US Federal Reserve (FED) negatively affected the gold price increase. Accordingly, right after the FED announced that it would only cut interest rates once this year, gold prices immediately plummeted.
Gold Price Forecast
Market analyst Carlo Alberto De Casa of Kinesis Money said that despite the pressure, the fact that gold is still above $2,300/ounce shows that buyers are still actively considering the correction and price decrease as a good opportunity to increase their gold holdings.
David Rosenberg, founder and president of Rosenberg Research, said that although the Fed has been slower than other central banks in easing monetary policy, once it makes the decision to cut interest rates, gold will take off. Last week, both the European Central Bank and the Bank of Canada decided to cut interest rates.
