On the morning of January 18, SJC Company listed the buying price of SJC gold bars at 84.9 million VND/tael and the selling price at 86.9 million VND/tael - down 400,000 VND compared to yesterday.
PNJ Company sells SJC gold bars at the same price as SJC Company, while the selling price at Mi Hong has decreased to 86.5 million VND/tael. Sacombank and ACB banks list the selling price of SJC gold bars at around 86.5 - 86.8 million VND/tael.
The difference in buying and selling price of SJC gold bars varies between businesses, the highest being up to 2 million VND/tael.
Gold price today falls again
Similarly, the price of gold rings and jewelry of all kinds also decreased sharply. SJC Company bought plain gold rings at VND84.6 million/tael, sold at VND86.4 million/tael - a decrease of VND300,000. PNJ Company sold plain 99.99 gold rings at around VND86.9 million, while Mi Hong sold at VND86.3 million/tael.
Domestic gold prices have fluctuated strongly in recent days due to the influence of world prices.
In the international market, the price of precious metals closed the trading week at 2,703 USD/ounce - down more than ten USD compared to the previous session.
Gold prices fell sharply today as investors took profits, after the precious metal increased in price for many consecutive days.
At the same time, the USD index on the international market also skyrocketed to 109.2 points - the highest level in more than 2 years, putting pressure on gold prices.
Currently, the world gold price converted according to the listed exchange rate is about 83.1 million VND/tael.
