However, today (May 22), the price of SJC gold bars reversed and went down. At the end of the session, the price of SJC gold bars decreased by VND100,000/tael for buying and VND200,000/tael for selling compared to the closing price of the trading session last weekend.
Similarly, the price of gold bars at Doji also increased continuously for 3 sessions from May 18 to 20. Over the 3 sessions, the price of gold bars at Doji in Hanoi increased by VND100,000/tael in both buying and selling directions, while the price of gold bars at Doji in Ho Chi Minh City increased by VND150,000/tael in both directions.
Today, Doji gold bar prices increased and decreased in opposite directions. Doji gold bar prices in Hanoi increased by 50,000 VND/tael for buying and remained unchanged for selling.
Meanwhile, the price of Doji gold bars in Ho Chi Minh City decreased by 100,000 VND/tael in both directions compared to the closing price of the trading session last weekend.

SJC and Doji gold price list closing session 5/22
The price of SJC gold rings today is unchanged compared to the closing price of the trading session last weekend. At the end of the session, the price of 9999 gold rings of type 1-5 was listed by SJC in Ho Chi Minh City at 56-57 million VND/tael (buy - sell), the price of 9999 gold rings of type 0.5 was bought - sold by SJC at 56-57.1 million VND/tael.
Meanwhile, the price of PNJ gold rings has decreased quite sharply. The price of gold rings bought and sold by PNJ today is at 55.95-57.1 million VND/tael, down 50,000 VND/tael for buying and down 200,000 VND/tael for selling compared to the closing price of the last trading session of the week.
In the world market , gold prices today tend to increase. Gold prices are expected to increase back to the 2,000 USD/ounce mark, after the signal of slowing down the rate of interest rate hike from the US Federal Reserve (Fed).
At 5:36 p.m. today (Vietnam time), the spot gold price was at 1,979.5 USD/ounce, up 2.5 USD/ounce compared to last weekend.
World gold converted at the current exchange rate at Vietcombank is priced at nearly 56.4 million VND/tael (excluding taxes and fees). The difference between the price of SJC gold bars and the international gold price is 10.82 million VND/tael.
