DOJI listed the price of 9999 gold today at 87.7 million VND/tael for buying and 90.7 million VND/tael for selling, a sharp increase of 1 million VND/tael for buying and an increase of 500,000 VND/tael for selling compared to yesterday.

World gold price today February 14, 2025 and world gold price fluctuation chart in the past 24 hours
According to Kitco, the world gold price recorded at 4:30 a.m. today, Vietnam time, was 2,928.41 USD/ounce. Today's gold price increased by 0.88% compared to yesterday. Converted according to the USD exchange rate on the free market (25,606 VND/USD), the world gold price is about 90.4 million VND/tael (excluding taxes and fees). Thus, the price of SJC gold bars is about 300,000 VND/tael higher than the international gold price.

Gold prices rose on Thursday as U.S. President Donald Trump announced plans to impose reciprocal tariffs on countries that tax U.S. imports, adding to concerns about global trade.
Spot gold rose 0.4% to $2,915.76 an ounce as of 1:41 p.m. ET (1841 GMT), edging back toward a record high of $2,942.70 hit on Tuesday. U.S. gold futures rose 0.6% to $2,945.40.
On Thursday, Trump announced a roadmap for reciprocal tariffs against any country that imposes tariffs on U.S. imports. U.S. producer prices rose sharply in January, providing further evidence of rising inflation and reinforcing financial market expectations that the Federal Reserve will hold off on any interest rate cuts until the second half of the year.
"The main factor is political uncertainty and the economic fallout... PPI is pretty neutral and doesn't really have much of an impact on gold, investors around the world are concerned about what Trump's policies will do to the economy in general," said Jeffrey Christian, managing partner at CPM Group.
Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell, in his second congressional testimony this week, reaffirmed that the central bank is in no rush to cut interest rates.
Bob Haberkorn, senior market strategist at RJO Futures, said that despite expectations of a market sell-off due to recent PPI data, Powell’s testimony and Trump’s comments on the possibility of peace between Russia and Ukraine, the market remained positive due to safe-haven flows and traders buying on dips, which contradicted these bearish signals.
Gold bullion is seen as a hedge against inflation and economic uncertainty, but high interest rates reduce the appeal of the non-yielding asset.
The dollar index (.DXY) fell 0.5%, making greenback-denominated gold cheaper for foreign buyers.
Gold prices are rising across all major currencies and the slight decline in the dollar today is giving the currency more room to rally, Haberkorn said.
A surge that pushed global gold prices to an all-time high has hit jewellery purchases for the wedding season in India, while dealers in China are offering discounts to attract buyers.
Spot silver fell 0.2% to $32.15 an ounce. Platinum fell 0.1% to $991.25 and palladium rose 1.6% to $989.50.
