The prices of cow's milk in the Southwestern, Southeastern and Central Highlands regions show some consistency, but there are also notable differences. Specifically, the price of R16 milk in all three regions fluctuates from 140,000 - 144,000 VND/kg, showing stability and no difference between regions.
However, for bad R16 private milk, the Central Highlands has a higher price (VND70,000 - 80,000/kg) than the other two regions (VND60,000 - 70,000/kg), possibly due to scarcer supply in the Central Highlands or higher transportation costs. For good Thai private milk, the price in the Southeast is the highest (VND178,000 - 180,000/kg), while the Central Highlands is lower (VND170,000 - 180,000/kg), reflecting that consumption demand or product quality may be different.
The price difference between bad and good Thai milk also shows a difference, with the Southwest region having a higher price (VND70,000 - 80,000/kg) than the other two regions (VND65,000 - 78,000/kg). Overall, the cow's milk market in these regions is stable, but the price difference between bad and good milk shows that farmers need to focus on quality to achieve better profits.
Durian price today 3/21/2025 in the world
On March 21, 2025, durian prices in the international market, especially from Thailand - the world's largest durian exporter, are being greatly affected by export concerns. According to information from the Bangkok Post on March 20, 2025, Thai durian prices are expected to decrease due to a 20% increase in supply in the eastern provinces, with total output estimated at 800,000 tons this year.
Previously, in January 2025, Thai durian export prices fell sharply from 230-240 baht/kg to 110-120 baht/kg after more than 100 containers were rejected by China due to lack of Basic Yellow 2 (BY2) dye inspection reports. By March 20, 2025, Thai Commerce Minister Pichai Naripthaphan said that durian shipments had been 100% inspected and there were no more concerns about BY2, with a target of exporting 950,000 tons this year, worth more than 10 billion baht.
However, pressure from China's strict food safety regulations still keeps Thai durian prices fluctuating between $2.09 and $4.01 per kilogram (equivalent to VND52,000 - VND100,000 per kilogram) on the international market, according to data from Selina Wamucii.
Durian price assessment today 3/21/2025 is still stable
On March 21, 2025, durian prices in the domestic and international markets showed signs of stability, but there is a risk of volatility in the near future due to the influence of major markets such as Thailand and China. Domestically, durian prices in key growing areas such as Tien Giang, Dak Lak and Lam Dong fluctuated from VND 90,000 - 120,000/kg for Ri6 durian and VND 150,000 - 180,000/kg for Monthong durian, similar to the price level maintained since the beginning of March 2025 (according to a report from nongnghiep.vn on March 3, 2025). This stability is supported by abundant domestic supply, with Vietnam's durian output in 2024 reaching 1.5 million tons, of which 70% is for export (according to vietnambiz.vn). Domestic demand is also stable as consumers are accustomed to current prices, helping domestic durian prices remain stable in the short term.
