Durian price news today 4/8/2025
According to information from the Vietnam Fruit and Vegetable Association, in March 2025, the export value of the fruit and vegetable industry is estimated to reach about 450 million USD. The total export value in the first three months of 2025 reached 1.14 billion USD, down 11.3% over the same period last year.
The association also said that the decline in fruit and vegetable exports in the first quarter of 2025 was in stark contrast to the growth trend in the same period in 2024. Last year, fruit and vegetable exports recorded a continuous increase from the beginning of the year, bringing in a record revenue of over 7.1 billion USD. The main reason for this decline was that durian, one of the main products, was facing difficulties in exporting. In 2024, durian exports reached 3.4 billion USD, accounting for nearly 50% of the total turnover of the entire fruit and vegetable industry (over 7.15 billion USD).
