Extension of construction time for Song Bui Bridge (Bac Tra My)

Accordingly, after reviewing the submission of the People's Committee of Bac Tra My district and the report of the Department of Construction on the extension of the construction contract for the Song Bui bridge project, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee has the following comments:

Due to some objective reasons such as the transportation route being severely damaged, unfavorable weather conditions, the adjustment of the M2 pier foundation due to geological differences and some problems related to site clearance, the construction progress has not been guaranteed according to the signed contract.

On that basis, the Provincial People's Committee agreed to extend the construction contract of the Song Bui bridge project at the request of the Department of Construction.

The People's Committee of Bac Tra My district shall, based on the progress and remaining construction volume of the project, negotiate and sign a contract appendix to adjust the contract implementation time to ensure that it does not exceed the project implementation time approved by the Provincial People's Committee in Decision No. 856.

Complete the entire project early, accept it and put it into use, promote investment efficiency; at the same time, organize a review, rectify and draw lessons from relevant organizations and individuals who did not report to the Provincial People's Committee for consideration and approval before extending the construction contract implementation period according to regulations.

The Department of Construction, Department of Transport, relevant departments and units, according to their assigned functions and tasks, are responsible for monitoring, guiding, inspecting and supervising the People's Committee of Bac Tra My district in the process of implementing the project in accordance with current regulations of law.

Song Bui Bridge is about 84m long; the total estimated investment is 30 billion VND, of which the provincial budget is 24 billion VND, the remaining 6 billion VND is from the district budget. The project will be implemented from 2022 - 2024.
