Silver prices fell sharply after US President Donald Trump announced detailed plans for reciprocal tariffs on trading partners, causing many traders to sell off silver, according to FXStreet.
Silver has enjoyed a strong rally in recent months, similar to gold, as investors believe Trump's tax policies will lead to inflation and hurt global economic growth.
Additionally, growing concerns about silver demand from industries also sent silver prices sharply lower.
