On the afternoon of June 8, nearly 40,000 candidates taking the 10th grade high school entrance exam for the 2023-2024 school year went to the testing locations to complete the registration procedures, listen to the exam regulations, and see their registration numbers.

During the exam registration procedure this afternoon, candidates learned about the exam regulations, exam room rules, and corrected errors (if any) during the exam registration process.
Candidates taking the exam at Ham Rong High School (Thanh Hoa City) check their registration number and personal information (Ham Rong High School has more than 800 candidates taking the exam, the exam site has a maximum of 30 exam rooms).
In order for the exam to take place safely and seriously, high schools where the exam sites are located have proactively planned and fully prepared facilities, equipment, and conditions to ensure the exam.
This afternoon, along with the candidates, many parents also went to the exam site with their children.
According to the Department of Education and Training of Thanh Hoa province, the number of candidates who came to complete the exam procedures was 39,062/39,759 candidates registered for the exam, reaching a rate of 98.25%. The preparation conditions for the exam at the Examination Councils were guaranteed.
According to the plan, the entrance exam for grade 10 of the 2023-2024 school year will take place on June 9 and 10. Candidates will take 3 subjects: Literature, Math, English. Time limit: 120 minutes for Literature and Math; 60 minutes for English. All exams will be in essay format. Math and Literature scores will be multiplied by 2, English scores will be multiplied by 1.

To organize the 10th grade entrance exam for the 2023-2024 school year, the whole province arranged 86 examination councils and mobilized nearly 5,000 officials and teachers to work at the examination councils.
