Nearly 1,000 people in Da Nang received free medical examination and medicine

On the morning of September 22, at Lien Chieu District Medical Center, Da Nang City, the program "Medical examination for a healthier Vietnam" took place with the participation of nearly 1,000 people in Lien Chieu District.
The program is organized by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Young Physicians Association in coordination with the Da Nang Young Physicians Association, Lien Chieu District Medical Center, Lien Chieu District Youth Union and related units.
Here, more than 25 doctors and nurses working at Lien Chieu Chieu District Medical Center examined patients, provided health consultations, distributed medicine, and gave gifts to people.
The screening area is located in the main lobby of Lien Chieu District Medical Center.
After people fill out a questionnaire about their history and condition, doctors will screen cases at high risk of cardiovascular - kidney - metabolic diseases to schedule an appointment for examination and testing at the program.
After submitting the medical examination form, people are instructed to take urine and blood samples to screen for cardiovascular - kidney - metabolic diseases.
Doctors of the Da Nang Young Physicians Association examine and consult for free after conducting tests.
Within the framework of the program, more than 900 people received free medical examination and testing.
Young doctors examined health, assessed potential risks; gave practical advice on health care, diet, and healthy lifestyle to prevent serious illnesses.
Children are also screened by doctors.
After the medical examination, people will be given free medicine according to the doctor's prescription.
Medical staff instruct students on the 6-step hand washing process to keep hands clean.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy (Lien Chieu, Da Nang City) shared: "I brought my child here at 7am, here I was examined, consulted and given free medicine. I find the program very meaningful and hope it can be expanded to many places."
Towards the school opening season as well as to show concern for preschools in the new school year, the Organizing Committee gave 30 gifts to students who overcome difficulties in studying, each gift includes: 1 pair of books, 200,000 VND in cash...
In 2024, the Vietnam Young Physicians Association, in collaboration with Unilever Vietnam and sponsors, launched the "For a Healthier Vietnam" program. Activities included medical examination, consultation, free medicine distribution, and digital healthcare transformation, aiming to provide healthcare for communities in 30 provinces and cities nationwide, examining more than 30,000 people and giving away more than 100,000 antibacterial gifts.
