What's on a 5-star super yacht that can accommodate 5,000 guests?
According to the Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA)'s State of the Cruise Industry 2024 report, the number of passengers in 2023 will reach 31.7 million, surpassing 2019 by 7%. Cruise capacity forecasts show a 10% increase from 2024 to 2028, with the number of new cruise ship passengers increasing by 27%... In the Southeast Asian market, information from Startravel travel agency said that the Anthem of the Seas cruise ship with a capacity of up to 5,000 tourists departing from Singapore is in high demand, including many Vietnamese tourists. Anthem of the Seas is one of the largest cruise ships in the world, 348 m long, 41.4 m wide, and has a tonnage of about 168,000 tons. The ship can accommodate more than 4,000 guests and 1,500 crew members.
The growth of the economy and the middle class has created a demand for travel on superyachts.
Compared to other cruise ships in its class, Anthem of the Seas stands out for its massive size and modern amenities. According to AP, the design and construction process took nearly three years and included integrating the most advanced technology into the cruise ship.
Along with its majestic appearance, the superyacht Song of the Sea has many outstanding amenities, the most impressive of which is the North Star Observatory. The observatory is essentially a spherical cabin raised more than 90 m above sea level. Standing on the observatory, visitors can enjoy a panoramic view of the ocean and watch the sunset from above. In addition, the skydiving service in the house space, simulating the feeling of flying without having to jump out of the plane, is also a new feature.
Superyachts offer a wide range of entertainment
Tourists who like strange feelings can experience the Two70 service - giant rotating screens create an impressive space, experience bumper cars, and many relaxing activities such as sunbathing lounges, swimming pools, outdoor cinemas, entertainment areas integrating many modern technologies...
Why do Vietnamese people tend to travel on super yachts?
During the year-end holidays, cruise tours focus on "all-inclusive experience" services suitable for family groups who like to relax with full amenities and entertainment, without having to waste time going to crowded places.
Visitors can participate in many exciting recreational activities.
A group of tourists from Vietnam enjoyed dishes from many different countries, prepared by talented chefs.
The most convenient point of the cruise tour is that tourists do not need to check-in or check-out many times at the hotels. There are various entertainment areas for children and families, and there is also a duty-free shopping area right on the ship with full range of fashion clothes, cosmetics, and souvenirs.
When traveling, many Vietnamese tourists like to explore many destinations in one trip. Instead of having to travel by plane, train, or car between destinations, tourists just need to stay on a yacht and enjoy life at sea. This saves time and effort, while bringing a feeling of relaxation and comfort. In addition, the growth of Vietnamese tourists is also in line with the general trend of the world. Choosing to travel by super yacht is gradually becoming a popular trend worldwide. This year, with the 9-day Tet holiday from January 25, 2025 (26th of Tet) to February 2, 2025 (5th of Tet), many travel companies are suggesting a 4-day, 3-night Southeast Asia spring cruise tour, so Vietnamese tourists can return home to celebrate the traditional Tet holiday.
