The Resolution of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Women's Congress for the 2021-2026 term sets out the target that each year, each association will help at least 5 women's households escape poverty or near-poverty; support capacity building training for 300 women who are business owners, business households, cooperative managers, and business household owners; by the end of the term, reduce the rate of poor households headed by women to less than 2%; mobilize and support the establishment of 250 new women's enterprises, 10 cooperatives with women participating in management... Based on the general targets, based on the actual conditions of each locality and unit, in recent times, women's associations at all levels in the province have promoted the women's start-up movement, supported women to develop the economy, and confidently rise out of poverty.

One of the outstanding activities of the women's unions at all levels in the province in recent times has been to support the development of the collective economy (KTTT) as well as to build and implement the Project "Supporting cooperatives managed by women and creating jobs for female workers in the period 2022-2030". Every year, the unions at all levels review and select registrations to establish cooperatives, cooperative groups, and joint groups. Along with that, through programs and projects, mobilizing capital sources, the unions at all levels have supported KTTT models on plants, breeds, agricultural materials, and transferring technical advances, helping the models improve the quality and efficiency of operations. Since the beginning of the term, the women's unions at all levels in the province have supported the establishment of 33 KTTT models, including 13 cooperatives and 20 cooperative groups, exceeding the targets. Up to now, the whole province has over 360 collective economic models managed by women, including cooperatives, cooperative groups, and association groups, creating regular jobs for thousands of female workers in the area.
A typical example is the model of a cooperative growing agricultural products owned by women in Thieu Nguyen commune (Thieu Hoa). Established in 2023, with 20 members, the cooperative was supported by the Provincial Women's Union with peanut seeds, fertilizers and technical process transfer to grow 5 hectares of spring-summer peanuts. After 4 months, the harvest was completed, with a yield of 60 tons of fresh tubers/ha, 10 tons/ha higher than mass production. In addition to growing peanuts, during the year, the cooperative grows other seasonal crops such as corn, soybeans, etc.
Along with the development of the collective economy, during the first half of the term, over 78,000 poor women were helped by the women's associations at all levels, with a total cost of nearly 50 billion VND. The associations at all levels also coordinated to organize 1,530 training courses to transfer science and technology to over 98,200 women; promoted activities to improve quality and expand trust and credit sources from banks, microfinance organizations, TYM Fund... Mobilized women to participate in savings with an amount of nearly 400 billion VND for thousands of women to borrow for economic development. Each association at each level has its own way of doing things, choosing key solutions to support and promote members to develop the economy, but all have the same goal of improving material and spiritual life as well as enhancing the role and position of women in the family and society.
Ms. Nguyen Dan Tam, President of the Women's Union of Bai Tranh Commune (Nhu Xuan) said: Currently, women's movements to help each other develop the economy are carried out regularly and focusedly. Among them is the savings model, each woman saves 10 thousand VND/month. With the collected money, the branches review the needs of members and lend to members to develop the economy, so women actively participate.
Ms. Le Thi Hai Ly, President of the Women's Union of Ba Thuoc district, shared: "In addition to credit with banks, we take advantage of programs and projects, coordinate with departments and branches to develop models associated with local advantages, such as the Co Lung duck farming model, indigenous chickens, hill and forest economy... therefore, many women have the conditions to increase their income and improve their lives."
Along with that, activities to support women starting businesses are increasingly focused on, attracting the attention of all levels and sectors in supporting women to start businesses and start businesses. In the past half term, the association at all levels has communicated and guided 5,000 members and women to start businesses, improving their capacity to apply digital technology in production and business; more than 2,700 women were supported to start businesses, of which 530 were established enterprises owned by women and nearly 6,000 poor women escaped poverty and near-poverty, exceeding the set target.
Comrade Ngo Thi Hong Hao, President of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Women's Union, said: The support of the unions at all levels has encouraged women to enthusiastically compete in labor production, innovate their thinking and working methods, strive to get rich and escape poverty sustainably. At the same time, it has actively contributed to the socio-economic development of the province, building an increasingly strong union organization. Thereby enhancing the role and position of women in the family and society, contributing to effectively implementing the goals and tasks set out in the Resolution of the Women's Congress at all levels for the 2021-2026 term.
