Many wooden furniture businesses are preparing to introduce new collections and new designs to seek more orders in 2025.
In early 2025, the furniture industry is still facing many difficulties. Mr. Nguyen Van Thu, General Director of Thanh Tam Company, said that with the strategy of "not stopping when facing difficulties", Thanh Tam Company still maintains promotional activities to seek orders, strengthen connections with new customers to be ready for opportunities when the market recovers.
Wood industry businesses are actively promoting and introducing products to find new customers.
“This year, in March, Thanh Tam will participate in the HawaExpo fair with a new collection, then continue to display at annual foreign fairs and exhibitions,” said Mr. Thu.
Like Mr. Thu, many wood industry entrepreneurs are stepping up advertising and trade promotion to find more development opportunities and HawaExpo is one of the options.
According to businesses, HawaExpo is a made-in-Vietnam furniture and interior design export fair, which is well-planned, aiming to affirm Vietnam's competitiveness with international buyers and provide maximum promotion support for qualified domestic businesses to export right at home.
This year, the exhibition will take place from March 5 to 7 at White Palace, Pham Van Dong Street, Thu Duc City, Ho Chi Minh City with more than 80% of the exhibitors being Vietnamese enterprises.
Mr. Nguyen Quoc Khanh, Head of HawaExpo Organizing Committee, said that this is a playground selected from exhibitors and customers, with a sustainable orientation for Vietnamese enterprises to significantly support in achieving goals and growth associated with the wood processing and forestry industry in our country.
According to a report by the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the country's estimated export turnover of wood and wood products (W&WP) in 2024 could reach 16.25 billion USD, an increase of 21% compared to 2023.
Of which, wood product export turnover is expected to reach 11.2 billion USD, up 22% compared to last year. To achieve this result, enterprises have proactively diversified their markets.
In 2024, exports to many new markets achieved encouraging results: the United Arab Emirates increased by 89.6%; India increased by 62.8%; Spain increased by 69.63%; and Canada increased by 23.86% over the same period last year.
