In recent times, Bao Thang district has promptly implemented documents from the Central and the province on issues related to the development of grassroots health care and preventive medicine. Resolution No. 99/2023 of the National Assembly has been deployed to health units, agencies, district units, communes and towns in the district. Budget expenditure for the prevention sector in 2023 - 2024 averaged 42.4% of total health expenditure. The district health center has been newly built, health stations have been regularly repaired and upgraded, and the system of equipment, medicines and medical supplies has been fully equipped to basically meet the health care needs of the people right at the grassroots level. However, due to the lack of vaccine supply from the Central Government, the vaccination rate has been low in some years, reaching nearly 85% in 2023.

The delegation will receive, synthesize, propose and recommend to the Ministry of Health and advise the Committee on Culture and Society in the process of building legal policies on population and grassroots health in the coming time.
