(QNO) - This afternoon, April 26, continuing the program of meeting voters before the 5th Session of the 15th National Assembly, the National Assembly Delegation of Quang Nam province, including delegates Le Van Dung - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of the province and Dang Thi Bao Trinh - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, had a meeting with voters of Nam Giang district.
Informing Nam Giang voters of the results of some socio-economic indicators in the first quarter of 2023, delegate Dang Thi Bao Trinh said that Quang Nam's economic growth rate (GRDP) in the first quarter decreased by 10.9% compared to the same period in 2022; the economic scale reached 24,600 billion VND, narrowing by more than 1,100 billion VND compared to the same period last year.
Total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue reached 16,300 billion VND; Quang Nam tourism industry is gradually recovering strongly and developing quite well with many attractive tourist destinations and diverse entertainment activities, attracting a large number of tourists to visit and experience.
Agricultural, forestry and fishery production in the province was stable, maintaining a growth rate of 3.6% over the same period last year; total state budget revenue reached 6,487 billion VND; consumer price index (CPI) increased by 5.12% over the same period last year...
Delegate Dang Thi Bao Trinh also informed about some expected contents at the upcoming 5th Session of the 15th National Assembly, related to the consideration and approval of draft laws and resolutions on legislative work; supervision activities and decisions on other important issues of the country.
At the meeting, many voters in Nam Giang suggested that the current staffing level is still low compared to local needs, so they suggested not to include the regular police staffing level in the commune staffing level; consider allowing people to utilize wood materials to build houses; have a mechanism to support people in mountainous areas to exploit secondary forest products in the buffer zones of conservation areas and national parks; develop specific policies for people in mountainous areas to enjoy policies for the elderly...

Receiving the voters' recommendations, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation Le Van Dung shared the difficulties and obstacles of the locality in implementing mechanisms and policies in the past time. The Office of the National Assembly Delegation and the Provincial People's Council will synthesize voters' opinions to participate in discussions and sharing at the National Assembly meetings in general, as well as exchange and find solutions from central ministries and branches in particular.
In the coming time, delegate Le Van Dung suggested that Nam Giang district continue to promote propaganda to effectively implement Resolution 88 of the National Assembly; other resolutions, programs and projects issued by the Government and the province to support socio-economic development in mountainous areas.
