In the bustling atmosphere of preparing to welcome the traditional Lunar New Year 2025, the People's Committee of Thai Binh province has just organized a meeting and wished a happy new year to foreign direct investment (FDI) enterprises in the area.
Although 2024 was affected by unpredictable fluctuations in the world and domestic economy, Thai Binh recorded impressive results in socio-economic development. The economic growth rate (GRDP) reached 7.01%, the economic scale ranked 23rd nationwide. On average, in the period of 2021-2024, the province's growth was 1.35 times higher than the national average.
The economic structure shifted positively, with total production value increasing by 6.9% and industrial production value increasing by 9.2%. In particular, total retail sales of goods and service revenue increased sharply by 15.7%, reflecting the vitality of the domestic market. Domestic budget revenue reached VND 11,579 billion, exceeding the estimate by 134.5% and increasing by 18% compared to 2023. Export turnover reached USD 2.978 billion, up 12.6%. Notably, in 2024, Thai Binh continued to be in the leading group of the country in disbursement of public investment capital, while recording more than 1,000 newly established enterprises, the third consecutive year maintaining this impressive figure.

In 2024, Thai Binh will attract a total investment capital of more than 38,000 billion VND, of which 154 production and business projects have a total registered capital of 26,500 billion VND, an increase of 26.2% compared to 2023. FDI capital alone will reach 1.16 billion USD, putting Thai Binh in the top 12 leading provinces in the country. Thai Binh Economic Zone continues to affirm its role as a driving force for development, attracting many large projects such as VSIP Industrial Park, Hai Long Industrial Park and Hung Phu Industrial Park. This is an important premise to help the province be ready to make a breakthrough in 2025.
Thai Binh pays special attention to improving the investment and business environment, removing obstacles in investment procedures, land and site clearance. The fields of culture, health care and education have also made much progress. People's lives are constantly improved, political security and social order and safety are maintained, creating a stable environment for production and business activities.

Entering 2025, Thai Binh expects to make the most of the wave of FDI capital shifting to Vietnam. With advantages in geographical location, synchronous transportation system, and increasingly modern infrastructure, the province aims to attract more large projects, creating momentum to promote growth.
Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of Thai Binh Provincial People's Committee, Mr. Lai Van Hoan emphasized: "The success of enterprises is the success of the province. Thai Binh always accompanies and creates favorable conditions for FDI enterprises to expand production, business and contribute to the socio-economic development of the locality".
The Provincial People's Committee is committed to continuing to improve the open and transparent investment environment, amending policy mechanisms to support businesses. At the same time, the province calls on FDI enterprises to strengthen cooperation with businesses in the province, focusing on sustainable development, implementing regulations on labor regimes, environmental protection and proper land use.
