On July 22, Hanoi Medical University officially announced the minimum score for admission based on the 2024 high school graduation exam scores.
The highest floor score is 24 for medicine, Thanh Hoa branch of medicine, and dentistry; followed by traditional medicine at 22 points and preventive medicine at 21 points. The remaining 12 majors/training programs all have a floor score of 19.
Previously, the Ministry of Education and Training announced that the minimum score for the health sector ranges from 19 to 22.5 points. The highest is medicine and dentistry (22.5 points). Traditional medicine and pharmacy are 21 points. The remaining sectors are at 19 points.
Speaking with Tuoi Tre Online , Associate Professor, Dr. Le Dinh Tung - Head of Training Department of Hanoi Medical University, said that the predicted standard score using high school graduation exam scores to enter Hanoi Medical University this year may increase slightly compared to last year.
According to Mr. Tung, this year, the B00 group (math, chemistry, biology) has 311 candidates achieving 28.5 points or more (not including priority and incentive points). From this number, the school predicts that the admission scores for top majors such as medicine and dentistry will increase compared to last year's scores, increasing at a moderate level.
For psychology, the school's first year major, the benchmark score can also be from 28 points with the C00 combination (literature, history, geography).
In 2024, Hanoi Medical University will enroll 1,720 students (an increase of 350 students compared to last year). This year, the school will enroll three new majors, including midwifery, dental prosthetics, and psychology.
In addition to the main admission group B00 (math, chemistry, biology), this year for the first time the school will consider admission groups C00, D01, and the results of the Hanoi National University's capacity assessment exam for university admission.
Tuition fees for the 2024-2025 school year announced by the school are expected to range from 15 to 55.2 million VND/year.

Banking Academy has also just announced the minimum score for admission based on high school graduation exam scores in 2024.
At the Hanoi headquarters, the academy takes the minimum score for admission as 21 points for training programs with a 30-point scale, and 28 points for training programs with a 40-point scale. This score includes priority points.
For Bac Ninh branch, the minimum score for admission is 18. Phu Yen branch considers candidates with 15 points or higher.
Banking Academy notes that the above floor score is only the minimum score for candidates to be able to register for admission.
This year, Banking Academy will recruit 3,514 students, with 5 admission methods: direct admission and review of academic records (expected 20% of the target), admission based on international certificates (15%), admission based on the results of the Hanoi National University's competency assessment exam (15%), and admission based on high school graduation exam results (50%).
Estimated tuition fees for business and legal management majors are about 25 million VND/year; information technology majors are 26.5 million VND/year; and humanities, social sciences and behavior majors are 26 million VND/year.
High-quality training programs are expected to cost 37 million VND/year; Japan-oriented programs are expected to cost 60 million VND for 4 years of study, not including tuition fees for standard training programs.
International bachelor's program tuition ranges from 340 - 380 million VND/4 years of study.
