The minimum score according to the 2024 high school graduation exam score method for the real estate major at Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics is 20 points; at the University of Finance and Marketing is 19 points; at the University of Agriculture and Forestry of Ho Chi Minh City is 18 points; at the University of Economics and Finance of Ho Chi Minh City is 17 points.
In 2023, the benchmark scores based on the high school graduation exam scores for the real estate industry at the above schools will be 23.8-21.9-20 and 17 respectively.
In 2024, according to early admission methods, the real estate industry at many schools has a low admission standard score.
At Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics, with the methods of selecting excellent students; selecting the learning process according to the subject combination and the capacity assessment score of Ho Chi Minh City National University, the real estate industry has a standard score of 50-53-800 respectively, belonging to the group with low standard scores compared to many other industries of the school.

At the University of Finance and Marketing, in the admission method for students with good high school results (admission categories 1,2,3,4), the real estate industry has the standard scores in order of 26-22-22-25.
In other methods, including considering high school academic results according to subject combinations; based on the capacity assessment test scores of Ho Chi Minh City National University and based on the computer-based entrance assessment test scores (V-SAT), this industry has standard scores of 27.5-700-250 respectively.
At Ho Chi Minh City University of Agriculture and Forestry, the benchmark score for the real estate industry in 2024 based on academic transcript scores is 21, while according to the capacity assessment score of Ho Chi Minh City National University, it is only 650 points.
Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics and Finance has a standard score of 18 for real estate major, while Ho Chi Minh City National University's capacity assessment score is only 600 points.
At a recent seminar on the current state of human resources in the real estate industry held in Ho Chi Minh City, industry experts said that this is a field that requires highly qualified human resources, but currently real estate human resources can only meet 30-40% of businesses' needs.
The rest of the staff work spontaneously, mainly operating in a... vocational style, lacking legal and social knowledge.
At that time, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Thi Hoai Phuong, Principal of Ba Ria - Vung Tau University, said that the general perception of society about human resources in this field was real estate business and brokerage.
Meanwhile, brokers only need a certificate to practice. The certificate is granted easily, no need to study law, no need for a bachelor's degree. This leads to the fact that schools find it very difficult to recruit students when students "why study 3-4 years at university".

However, from August 1, when the 2023 Real Estate Business Law takes effect, freelance "land brokers" may no longer be able to roam freely and will have to work in businesses.
Article 61 of the Law on Real Estate Business 2023, effective from August 1, 2024, clearly states:
- Organizations and individuals providing real estate brokerage services must establish a real estate service business enterprise in accordance with the provisions of Clause 5, Article 9 of the Law on Real Estate Business 2023 and must satisfy the following conditions:
+ Must have regulations for real estate brokerage services;
+ Must have facilities and techniques that meet operational requirements according to Government regulations;
+ Have at least 1 individual with a real estate brokerage certificate;
+ Before conducting real estate brokerage business, real estate brokerage business enterprises must send information about the enterprise to the state management agency for real estate business at the provincial level where the enterprise is established to be posted on the housing and real estate market information system according to regulations.
- Individuals practicing real estate brokerage must meet the following conditions:
+ Have real estate brokerage certificate;
+ Must practice in a real estate trading floor service business or a real estate brokerage service business.
