On October 24, at a working session with Binh Phuoc Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Manh Cuong, the leaders of the Department of Education and Training proposed adding more than 2,300 positions to ensure the needs and complete assigned tasks well.
Binh Phuoc currently has 444 schools from kindergarten to high school with nearly 266,000 students. The province also has 2 colleges, 1 provincial Continuing Education Center, 8 district-level Vocational Education and Continuing Education Centers and is developing a project to establish a branch of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education in Binh Phuoc.

To date, the province has been recognized as meeting the standard of universal primary education level 3; 27 communes, wards and towns have met the standard of universal high school education. The province also has 77 schools implementing the Vietnamese-English bilingual teaching program, attracting 46 non-public kindergartens with over 12,700 children.
Some difficulties and shortcomings were also mentioned at the working session such as limited socialization of education; teaching equipment, management staff and teachers are still lacking compared to actual needs; funding for investment in facilities is still limited...

Binh Phuoc Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Manh Cuong said that the province's potential is still limited. Therefore, investment in education must choose urgent, central and key issues to maximize the effectiveness of investment resources. The provincial education sector needs to focus on socialization by expanding external links to gradually improve the quality of education.
"To improve the quality of education, we must not only focus on key education, but also prioritize mass education; in addition to knowledge education, we must focus on moral education, lifestyle, physical education...", Mr. Cuong emphasized.
