Kinhtedothi - On the morning of March 28, in Binh Phuoc, the Vietnam Journalists Association coordinated with the Binh Phuoc Provincial Journalists Association to organize the 3rd Southeast Region Press Awards - 2025.

Also attending were leaders of press agencies in the Southeast region, local and central press reporters stationed in the Southeast region.
The Southeast Press Award is an annual award to honor outstanding press works of the year, as well as to promptly encourage journalists, editors, contributors and reporters in the Southeast region.
After more than 10 months of launching, the 3rd Southeast Journalism Awards has received nearly 200 entries. The 80 best entries have been selected for the final round. The jury has decided to award 22 prizes, including: 2 First prizes, 4 Second prizes, 6 Third prizes and 10 Encouragement prizes.
According to the Organizing Committee, although the number of entries this year is lower than last year, the quality is outstanding with many award-winning entries having high discovery, rich sources of information and unique perspectives. This not only creates healthy competition among authors but also contributes to raising professional standards of regional journalism.
Besides familiar socio-economic topics, many works aim to exploit everyday stories rich in humanity or less-considered issues such as preserving ethnic minority culture, sustainable development and environmental protection.
Speaking at the ceremony, journalist Tran Trong Dung, Vice President of the Vietnam Journalists Association in charge of the South, said that the 3rd Southeast Region Press Award - 2025 has recognized proud achievements, affirming its position as an important event to honor the contributions of journalists in promoting the image, potential and achievements of the Southeast region.
This year’s entries not only vividly and truthfully reflect the socio-economic life of the locality and the entire region, but also actively guide public opinion and promote solidarity between the people and authorities at all levels. Thereby, contributing to motivating the whole society to overcome difficulties and move towards the goal of sustainable development.
Also at the ceremony, journalist Tran Trong Dung launched the 2026 Southeast Region Journalism Award.
