The research team includes 4 talented students: Lam Minh Tuan (class 12G0), Nguyen Don (class 11G2), Nguyen Duc Anh (class 11G2) and Nguyen Duc Dung (class 11G2), with a highly applicable topic: "Research on fermentation conditions of Kombucha tea from Thai Nguyen tea leaves for application in facial care products".

In this study, the team used scientific methods such as chemical analysis, microbiological testing and biosafety assessment. The research product is considered to not only open up a new direction in the field of food and cosmetic fermentation, but also contribute to the assessment of Vietnamese tea resources.

Sharing about the project journey, Lam Minh Tuan (class 12G0), representative of the research team, said: “We feel extremely proud and happy that our efforts over many months have been recognized. At first, approaching research was not easy, especially with in-depth knowledge of chemistry and microbiology. This achievement is not only the joy of the team but also the motivation for us to continue to explore, research and contribute more to Vietnamese science.”

The team's intelligence and flexibility in answering questions won over the judges, helping them win the three most prestigious awards at the ICPC 2025 competition: Grand Prize (Top 1%): For the best research team; Best Paper Award: Honoring outstanding research that has an impact on science and life; Gold Award: Recognizing research efforts at the highest level.

ICPC is a gathering place for scientific talents from all over the world, attracting more than 500 students and experts from 20 countries. This year's competition has 80 teams from 13 countries: Korea, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, Iran, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Kazakhstan, USA, New Zealand, China.

Unlike many other academic events, ICPC emphasizes application and critical thinking in research.
