(Dan Tri) - Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee assigned land to Lam Dong Construction Materials Company, but later allowed people to illegally encroach and transfer it.
On January 28, the People's Committee of Bao Loc city, Lam Dong province, directed the city's Inspectorate to coordinate with relevant units to study the proposal of Bao Loc city police on the case of encroachment and illegal transfer of land plot No. 171.
According to a report from Bao Loc City Police, land plot No. 171, on map sheet No. 9 in Loc Tien ward, with an area of more than 75,000 square meters, was initially assigned to the People's Committee of Loc Tien ward for management.
In 2003, Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee leased this land to Lam Dong Construction Materials Company as a landfill for a period of 20 years.
However, from 2003 to 2011, because Lam Dong Construction Materials Company had not used the land, some households encroached and then transferred it to each other through oral agreements or handwritten documents.
By 2019, Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee decided to reclaim land plot No. 171 and hand it over to Bao Loc City People's Committee for management.
Bao Loc City Police said that the encroaching households did not have documents proving land use rights, so the transfer for more than 1.1 billion VND was a violation of the law.
Bao Loc City Police have proposed that Bao Loc City People's Committee review the responsibilities of leaders and officials of Loc Tien Ward People's Committee through different periods related to the case of encroachment and illegal transfer of land plot 171.
