Speaking emotionally, director Dang Nhat Minh said: "Hanoi is my love, the place I have been attached to for more than 60 years of my life. Today's award is a recognition of that love in me, expressed through the films I have made about this land. The award is even more precious because I received it at an old age, during the memorable October days."
After thanking the organizers, the jury, and his filmmaking colleagues, the famous director read five lines of poetry by the character teacher Khang in the film "When Will October Come?"
"When until October?
Ripe rice on the stormy field
We leave behind long days of waiting
Losses, sacrifices, suffering, pain
When the autumn sky is still green above"
People's Artist Dang Nhat Minh shared that Hanoi is his love.
