(NLDO)- Noi Bai International Airport organized music performances, lion dances and gave calligraphy to passengers on the first day after Tet holiday.
On February 3 (January 6, At Ty year), the atmosphere at Passenger Terminals T1 and T2, Noi Bai International Airport was bustling with spring colors when passengers unexpectedly received calligraphy from teachers and enjoyed traditional art performances such as Cheo singing, Chau Van singing, and lion dance.
The Spring Gift Program was organized by Noi Bai International Airport at both passenger terminals T1 and T2 during peak hours in the morning, afternoon, and evening of February 3.
Many passengers were given calligraphy by the teacher, which they solemnly brought on the plane as a wish for good luck at the beginning of the year. Many young passengers, especially foreign children, were extremely excited to see the colorful lion dance for the first time, touch the lions and receive souvenirs with a strong Vietnamese flavor.
In addition, traditional music performances at stages T1 and T2 brought a joyful, bustling, and nostalgic atmosphere to many lucky passengers who had flights passing through the Port during the performance time.
Music activities, calligraphy gifts, and lion dances are like the best wishes for the new year that Noi Bai International Airport sends to passengers, and are also a thank you to passengers.
During the 9-day Lunar New Year holiday, Noi Bai International Airport safely served nearly 5,500 flights with nearly 914,000 passengers, including 616 flights and 108,000 passengers on one day, higher than the same period last year.
Although the number of passengers increased, it was divided equally between international and domestic passengers. At the same time, with many measures to enhance service, Noi Bai airport did not record any local congestion. Security, aviation safety, security and order, and service quality were well guaranteed, serving passengers to travel safely.
According to the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam, air transport output for the Lunar New Year 2025 increased to a "record" high.
From January 24 to February 2, 2025, that is, from December 25, the year of the Dragon to the end of January 5, the total passenger transport volume of the whole market reached 2.5 million passengers (an increase of 17.8%). Of which, international passengers reached 1.35 million passengers (an increase of 23%); domestic passengers reached 1.14 million passengers (an increase of 12% compared to the same period in 2024).
Tan Son Nhat Airport reached approximately 1.38 million passengers (up 7.6%). On the peak day of January 24 (ie December 25, the last working day before Tet holiday), Tan Son Nhat Airport operated 1,002 takeoffs and landings, setting a new "record", surpassing the milestone of 1,000 takeoffs and landings in a day at Tan Son Nhat Airport for the first time.
