“Promoting propaganda, vocational training and employment counseling aims to raise awareness among all levels, sectors, socio-political organizations and workers about the role of vocational education in socio-economic development. Therefore, we always innovate the content and form of propaganda to suit the subjects such as farmers, women, rural youth, demobilized soldiers...
At the same time, we organize vocational training and equip life skills so that young workers can be more confident and integrate into a more professional working environment," added the Vice Chairman of Yang Bac Commune People's Committee.
After finishing 12th grade, Ms. Dinh Thi Doi (Jro Ktu Dak Yang village, Yang Bac commune) was mobilized by the local authorities to work abroad for a limited period under a contract. Ms. Doi chose Saudi Arabia for her labor export. This is also a labor market that is suitable for the economic conditions of the people. When she went, she was supported with an additional 5 million VND from the company and had a stable salary of about 10 million VND/month.
The contract term is 2 years, but can be extended for another year, creating long-term employment opportunities for workers. Ms. Doi is currently working as a maid with a basic salary of 10 million VND/month for a family in Saudi Arabia.
Mr. Chuyen - Party Cell Secretary and Head of Jro Ktu Dak Yang Village - acknowledged: "Consulting and career guidance for ethnic minority workers is a very necessary activity, helping them raise their awareness about labor and employment. Moreover, through propaganda, workers have direct contact with units and businesses, thereby having orientation and choosing a career and job suitable for themselves".
According to Ms. Trieu Thi Luyen - President of the Ya Hoi Commune Women's Union: In recent times, the work of propaganda and career counseling for ethnic minority women has brought about clear results. Many women voluntarily registered to learn a trade to improve their production skills. She shared: “After being provided with information about vocational training classes by the commune officials, I boldly registered to participate. During the course, I was taught and guided enthusiastically by lecturers from Gia Lai College.
Now, I know how to take care of chickens from preparing food to vaccinating them. Thanks to that, the chickens are healthy, grow fast, and are less susceptible to diseases.
The Vice Chairman of the Dak Po District People's Committee affirmed: The work of propaganda, counseling and career orientation helps workers and students in the district have a clearer view of job opportunities as well as labor market requirements. The units have provided quite complete information about occupations, career development trends, and necessary skills to succeed in work.
