Da Nang to implement Hoa Phuoc Wholesale Market project in 2025

The Hoa Phuoc Wholesale Market Project with a total investment of 272 billion VND has had its Environmental Impact Assessment Report approved and will be implemented by Da Nang City in 2025.

The Department of Construction of Da Nang City has just responded to voters' petitions requesting early implementation of the Hoa Phuoc Wholesale Market project.

The Hoa Phuoc wholesale market project has been approved by the People's Committee of Hoa Vang district (Da Nang city) to adjust the detailed planning at a scale of 1:500 in Decision No. 3255/QD-UBND dated June 30, 2023 with an area of 30.92 hectares, the project location is in Hoa Phuoc commune (Hoa Vang district).

In November 2023, the People's Council of Da Nang City issued a Resolution approving the adjustment of the investment policy, assigning the Da Nang Civil and Industrial Construction Investment Project Management Board as the project investor.

According to the Resolution of the People's Council of Da Nang City, the project of technical infrastructure, site clearance, support and resettlement of Hoa Phuoc wholesale market, the total investment of the project was adjusted from more than 214 billion VND, increased to more than 272 billion VND.

Proton LLC is the investor approved by Da Nang City to study and propose the Hoa Phuoc Wholesale Market project.

According to the progress report of the Danang Civil and Industrial Construction Investment Project Management Board, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment has approved the project's Environmental Impact Assessment Report.

The Department of Construction of Da Nang also issued a notice of appraisal results on the Feasibility Study Report on investment in construction of technical infrastructure, site clearance, support and resettlement of Hoa Phuoc Wholesale Market project in Official Dispatch No. 7699/SXD-QLXD dated October 10, 2024.

It is expected that in October 2024, Da Nang city will approve the Feasibility Study Report, the Management Board will submit a request for additional capital to implement compensation and site clearance payments in late 2024 and in the first quarter of 2025.

In December 2024, the investor will organize the selection of a design and estimate consultant contractor through domestic open bidding.

In January 2025, design documents and estimates will be prepared; in February 2025, submit for approval of design documents after basic design.

By March 2025, Da Nang City will organize the selection of construction contractors through bidding. The construction package is expected to be implemented in April 2025, with a construction completion time of 8 months from the start date.
