Da Nang strengthens cooperation with cities around the world

(NLDO) - On the afternoon of January 17, the People's Committee of Da Nang City organized the Forum of Friendship and Cooperation Cities of Da Nang 2025.

Speaking at the forum, Mr. Le Trung Chinh, Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City affirmed that this is an important event opening a series of international events taking place in 2025.

In the context of deep international integration, Da Nang always opens its doors to welcome localities and international partners, strengthens friendship with localities, expands the international cooperation map. Thereby, together exploiting potentials, aiming for sustainable development, narrowing geographical distances and connecting the community.

"We wish to make Da Nang a place to gather and spread good values, valuable knowledge and experience of the international community, so that friends and partners will come and accompany the city's development," Mr. Le Trung Chinh affirmed.

According to statistics, by the end of 2024, Da Nang City has 1,012 FDI projects with a total investment capital of more than 4.3 billion USD. Regarding tourism, Da Nang has welcomed 8.7 million visitors, surpassing the golden period of tourism in 2019.

With the recovery of the world market and increased export orders, import and export activities in Da Nang City have improved; export value is estimated at 1,592.3 million USD, up 4.1% over the same period in 2023.

The 2025 Forum of Friendship and Cooperation Cities is the first foreign affairs and international cooperation event in 2025 of Da Nang.

In addition, Da Nang City has mobilized and received 41 programs and projects with a total committed budget of more than 4.6 million USD, equivalent to more than 110 billion VND. Programs and projects sponsored by non-governmental organizations mainly focus on the fields of: health, education, environment and solving social problems...

The Forum of Friendship and Cooperation Cities 2025 is the first foreign affairs and international cooperation event in 2025 of Da Nang, an opportunity for international friends to see Da Nang as a dynamic and creative city.

At the same time, it creates an opportunity for localities to access information, visions, trends and new technologies; expand and strengthen international relations in important areas such as innovation, smart city development, high technology, urban planning, and sustainable tourism.

Through the forum, the city wants to convey the message: "Da Nang wishes to become a solid bridge, connecting cultural and economic flows from all over the world, converging and spreading good values".
