On April 20, the People's Committee of Hoa Vang District, Da Nang City announced that the Chairman of the People's Committee of the district has decided to fine the investor of the Lai Thieu Eco-tourism Area project, belonging to Bao An Company Limited, VND40 million. This tourist area has built a cement foundation with an area of 150m2 and built 2 embankments with an area of 153m2 on the Luong Dong River in Hoa Phu Commune.
Hoa Vang District requires the investor to remedy the consequences by restoring the original state before the administrative violation. The time limit for implementing remedial measures is 45 days from the date of receiving the penalty decision.

Previously, the People's Committee of Hoa Vang district said that the Lai Thieu Eco-tourism Area project had been approved by the People's Committee of Da Nang City for detailed planning at a scale of 1/500 and adjusted the planning in Decision No. 6519/QD-UBND dated September 15, 2014, with a total area of: 250,514m2 . The purpose of land use is commercial service land 95,209m2 , production forest land 154,675m2.
In the land for construction of works belonging to Lai Thieu Eco-tourism Area project, which was granted a construction permit by the Department of Construction in 2016, there are 6 types of works to be built including: restaurant, sightseeing area, stilt house area, fishing area, camping areas, water park area (according to approved documents).
Through actual inspection, the project has been in operation for more than 3 years, in the project area, tents have been installed, other items of the project have been built in accordance with the approved planning. The district has inspected the concrete situation at the project and said that the current location of the road across the stream, the previous status was the official road of the 971st military unit formed before the project. For the stone embankments along both sides of the stream, the investor has paved and plastered, according to the investor's presentation, to prevent landslides.
