On February 18, the Department of Construction of Da Nang City said that in 2025, cultural works in the city will be prioritized for investment and accelerated progress.
The first cultural project to be launched after the Lunar New Year of At Ty is the project to expand, renovate and restore the Thai family temple relic (Hoa Phat Ward, Cam Le District), invested by the People's Committee of Cam Le District.
This project has a total investment of more than 8.7 billion VND, including items of restoration and renovation of the Thai Clan Church, the tomb of patriot Thai Thi Boi, Nghi An communal house, the house with statues of patriot Thai Phien and patriot Thai Thi Boi, the Am Linh temple area, the kitchen area and completion of the technical infrastructure system, traffic connection...
Military Region 5 hands over land to upgrade the Thai clan church relic, the tomb of patriot Thai Thi Boi, and Nghi An communal house.
Thai Phien and Thai Thi Boi were patriots born in Nghi An village (Phuoc Tuong commune, Hoa Vang district, Quang Nam province, now Hoa Phat ward, Cam Le district, Da Nang city). Thai Thi Boi called Thai Phien her uncle, and was the one who continued the ideals of patriot Thai Phien for the cause of national salvation.
According to the Project Management Board and Site Clearance of Cam Le District, in 2025 the district will have 81 projects with a total capital of more than 400 billion VND. Among them, many key projects celebrate the 50th anniversary of the liberation of Da Nang City and the Party Congresses at all levels, focusing on cultural and people's projects such as the renovation of the Hoa Vang Martyrs Memorial and the campus, the improvement of the sidewalk landscape of Thang Long Street (phase 2), and the Hoa Phat Ward Cultural and Sports Center.
Mr. Ho Hai Nam, Director of the Project Management and Site Clearance Board of Cam Le District, said that the Thai family church or other cultural, historical and relic works are being invested in to be renovated and restored, but the original elements must be preserved to meet the people's aspirations. Therefore, the construction must be responsible, serious, ensuring technical, aesthetic and labor safety.
Thai family church, Thai Thi Boi's tomb, Nghi An communal house are city-level historical and cultural relics. According to the plan, they will be proposed for recognition as national historical and cultural relics. The Ministry of National Defense has transferred 5,000 m2 to Da Nang City to expand the relics.
Go Do Cemetery
Regarding Go Do Cemetery (Hoa Phat Ward), Cam Le District coordinated with the Department of Culture and Sports to propose recognition as a city-level relic. However, the area is currently located within national defense land, so steps are being taken to request the Ministry of National Defense and Military Region 5 to hand over the cemetery land and the access road to the locality.
According to the Department of Construction, in 2025, the city will spend nearly 100 billion VND to build and renovate 3 cultural works. Notably, the project of the West Park of Thoai Ngoc Hau Temple (Son Tra District) has an area of over 6,500 m2 , with a total investment of nearly 71 billion VND, including the following items: central park, operator building, technical infrastructure, parking lot, etc.
The project to upgrade and renovate Trung Vuong Theater (Hai Chau District) has a total investment of nearly 14 billion VND, including the following items: hall interior, restroom, roof system, central air conditioning, and lighting.

The project to renovate, repair and upgrade the Cham Sculpture Museum (Hai Chau District) has a budget of 14 billion VND, including fences, gates, waterproofing, and relocation and preservation of artifacts.
In addition, Da Nang City also focuses on investing in projects to restore and embellish Dien Hai Citadel relic (phase 2), Cultural - Cinema Center, Cham Sculpture Museum, facility 2 (phase 1, scale 140 billion VND); starting the project to upgrade and renovate 29.3 Park (nearly 700 billion VND), expanding Lien Chieu District Administrative Center Park, Hoa Cam Cultural - Sports Center Park, etc.
