(CPV) - The work of grasping public opinion in any context is always one step ahead, to create consensus in the whole society. Besides the achieved results, the work of grasping and orienting public opinion also has difficulties. Therefore, it is necessary to have timely feasible solutions to continue to innovate the work of orienting public opinion, contributing to the successful implementation of common tasks in the coming time, including policies of the health sector.

On November 12 in Hanoi, the Institute of Public Opinion, the Central Propaganda Department; and the Office of the Ministry of Health jointly organized a seminar on "Improving the quality of public opinion gathering and orientation to contribute to the effective implementation of policies of the health sector".
Attending the seminar were comrades: Pham Thu Ha, Director of the Institute of Social Opinion, Central Propaganda Department; Nguyen Toan Thang, Deputy Chief of Office of the Ministry of Health; representatives of leaders of units under and directly under the Central Propaganda Department, Ministry of Health, Departments of Health of some provinces and cities in the Northern region, social opinion collaborators, reporters, propagandists at all levels, and many reporters of newspapers and radio stations.
Speaking at the seminar, comrade Nguyen Toan Thang, Deputy Chief of the Office of the Ministry of Health, said that 2024 is the year of "accelerating" the implementation of the goals of the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress. In the first months of the year, the world and regional situation continued to have many rapid, complicated and unpredictable developments; new difficulties and challenges emerged, different from the previous period. Natural disasters and climate change continued to have a severe impact on many countries. In that general situation, in order to complete the set goals of the health sector, the work of grasping and orienting public opinion to contribute to the effective implementation of the sector's policies plays a very important role. The leaders of the Ministry of Health have always paid attention to leading and directing the effective implementation of key communication work and orienting public opinion, thereby creating strong changes, bringing practical results, as well as contributing to raising awareness and responsibility of each cadre and employee in the health sector. The tasks ahead for the health sector are still very heavy, therefore, the role of grasping and orienting public opinion towards the health sector needs more effort than ever.
At the Seminar, with a spirit of lively, frank, highly responsible and objective discussion, the delegates focused, delved into and clarified a number of issues: Inadequacies, difficulties and obstacles in the work of grasping and orienting public opinion in the health sector in recent times; experiences, good lessons, and creative ways of doing things that contribute to improving the effectiveness of coordination in grasping, handling, resolving and orienting public opinion in the health sector; recommendations and solutions to improve the quality of the work of grasping, forecasting and orienting public opinion, contributing to the effective implementation of policies of the health sector in the coming time.
Speaking at the seminar, comrade Pham Thu Ha, Director of the Institute of Social Opinion, Central Propaganda Department, highly appreciated the active participation of delegates and their contributions to further improve the quality of public opinion gathering in the health sector in the coming time.
According to comrade Pham Thu Ha, the leaders of the Central Propaganda Department always consider the task of grasping and orienting public opinion as an important task. The task of grasping public opinion in any context is always one step ahead, to create consensus among leaders at all levels, society and the people. Besides the achieved results, the task of grasping and orienting public opinion also has many difficulties: The staff doing the task of grasping public opinion from the Central to the grassroots level is still very lacking; the task of grasping public opinion is sometimes passive; the issue of investment in resources for this task is also limited; the treatment regime is not satisfactory, especially for the commune and ward levels... The difficulties and shortcomings are all bottlenecks to the development of the task of grasping and orienting public opinion. Therefore, the Discussion frankly acknowledged, seriously assessed, receptively and promptly had feasible solutions to continue innovating the work of orienting public opinion, contributing to the successful implementation of common tasks in the coming time.
“To continue to innovate and improve the quality of the work of grasping and orienting public opinion, contributing to the effective implementation of policies of the health sector, it is necessary to strengthen the leadership of Party committees at all levels in the work of grasping and orienting public opinion, especially orienting public opinion on health policies. At the same time, building a network of reporters and propagandists at all levels to innovate the way of working to create more efficiency, contributing to spreading and orienting public opinion” - Comrade Pham Thu Ha emphasized./.
