The 2024 International Food Festival will promote bread from three regions to see the diversity and uniqueness of Vietnamese cuisine through the bread dishes that are different from place to place.

International Food Festival 2024 with the theme Gastronomy of unity - Connecting cuisine will take place on December 7 and 8 at the Diplomatic Corps Area (298 Kim Ma, Ba Dinh, Hanoi) with the participation of more than 60 countries and territories.
At the press conference to inform about the event on November 21, Mr. Hoang Thai Ha - Chairman of the Trade Union of the Diplomatic Service Department, Deputy Organizing Committee of the 2024 International Food Festival - said that the festival is not only an opportunity to introduce and promote the culinary culture of countries.
This is also an opportunity to promote and honor the cultural beauty of Vietnam, promote cultural diplomacy, enhance the national image and further expand and promote the spirit of international cooperation.

The festival will feature elaborate food demonstrations, exciting beer festival activities, games to receive gifts from sponsors and countless unique experiences such as: culinary passport, cuisine on a plate, five-continent kitchen...
In particular, the three-region bread promotion activity promises to bring interesting experiences to food lovers.
Ms. Le Thi Thiet - Standing Committee Member of Vietnam Culinary Culture Association, President of Nam Dinh Culinary Culture Association - said that although they are all bread, in the three regions of North, Central and South, bread is very different in fillings and spices.
This is similar to other dishes in Vietnam, always carrying the unique flavors of each region. Just the spices in Vietnamese cuisine are extremely rich.
The Banh Mi Festival is an opportunity for both Vietnamese and international visitors to explore the richness and diversity of Vietnamese cuisine in general through Banh Mi from three regions.
At the International Food Festival, in addition to spring rolls and pho, which are internationally famous Vietnamese dishes that will stand side by side with attractive dishes from other countries, there are also many special dishes from different regions, such as Hanoi cuisine, Northwest cuisine, Central cuisine, and Southern cuisine.

Nowadays, international visitors have accepted Vietnamese fish sauce.
In addition, Ms. Thiet said that Vietnam will also introduce its rich spices to international friends, including fish sauce.
According to Ms. Thiet, in the past, international visitors were very cautious with Vietnamese fish sauce, but now Vietnamese fish sauce made by artisans has been welcomed by international visitors, who are very excited about dishes with this spice.
"Chefs have created many dishes with fish sauce that are more suitable for international tastes but still do not lose the identity of Vietnamese cuisine," said Ms. Thiet.
The International Food Festival is one of the annual events held since 2014, receiving increasing response and participation from embassies, foreign cultural centers, foreign affairs departments representing provinces and cities, businesses and units within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The festival is organized by the Department of Diplomatic Corps Services in coordination with the Department of State Protocol, the Department of Information and Press and agencies of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
