New special model

The cooperation model of protecting and exploiting tourism resources of Ban Gioc waterfall (Vietnam) - Duc Thien (China) is a new special model in cooperation between the two regions, the two countries together protect and exploit the common resources. According to Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Cao Bang province Sam Viet An, this is a new special model because it has no precedent in the world.

For the first time in the border area, the two countries have jointly planned a part of their territory to form a landscape area to coordinate, discuss, exchange, and agree on plans to protect and exploit the tourism resources of the waterfall located on the border of the two countries. Downstream at the foot of the waterfall, tourists from both sides use rafts to travel and admire the waterfall, and are free to cross the border on the border river.

The protection and exploitation of tourism resources of the Landscape Area do not affect the territorial sovereignty and national security of Vietnam and China; at the same time, comply with relevant agreements between the two countries...

Currently, the two sides are actively completing infrastructure, coordinating the construction of unique border works; simplifying procedures for cross-border travel; doing a good job of management, ensuring security and order, and together building a peaceful and friendly border that has a regional and international impact.
