The first dedicated ferry replaces Phong Chau pontoon bridge

TPO – From 2:00 p.m. on October 4, the temporary ferry replacing Phong Chau pontoon bridge officially began operating, only transporting people on motorbikes and rudimentary vehicles on both banks of the Red River.

Military forces instruct people to wear life jackets when traveling by ferry, ensuring safety and proper manner.

Together with the military force, Phu Tho Provincial Police divided traffic and guided people before getting on the ferry.

Soldiers from the provincial military force guide and support people when participating in ferry traffic, ensuring compliance with regulations.

On average, each ferry can carry about 35 - 40 people and vehicles.

The temporary ferry replacing Phong Chau pontoon bridge operates from 6am to 8pm daily to serve people's travel needs.

The specialized ferry uses 3 PMP field buoys firmly joined together.

To ensure safety for ferry trips across the river, the Phu Tho Provincial Police force coordinated with Brigade 249 to regulate traffic to ensure security, order, and traffic safety, patrol, control, and prohibit inland waterway vehicles and fishing boats from entering the wharf operation area to ensure absolute safety for ferry operations.
