Program "Women's Entrepreneurship Day 2024"

In celebration of the 94th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Women's Union on October 20 (1930-2024), today, October 18, the Standing Committee of the Quang Tri Provincial Women's Union organized the program "Women's Entrepreneurship Day 2024" with a series of activities: Conference connecting supply and demand for products of female members; awarding prizes for the contest proposing ideas and startup projects in 2024; displaying and introducing startup products of female members; Contest "Cooking with Nestelé - Full taste of homeland". Speaking at the opening ceremony, Permanent Vice President of the Provincial Women's Union Nguyen Thi Que Phuong affirmed that in recent times, in line with the women's start-up movement nationwide, the Women's Union at all levels of Quang Tri province has always accompanied, supported, and encouraged women of all backgrounds, ages, and professions to rise up, confidently participate in start-ups, enrich their families and hometowns, contributing to promoting gender equality and enhancing the role and position of women in society.

From the women's start-up movement, the association at all levels has supported over 889 women to start businesses; actively promoted the establishment and maintenance of the Provincial Women Entrepreneurs Association and 16 women's business clubs; established 46 cooperatives, 230 cooperative groups; had 207 ideas participating in the annual start-up competition...

In 2024, there were 2 individuals who were shining examples of women entrepreneurs who won prestigious awards: Second prize in the national finals of the "Women's Creative Startup and Green Transformation" contest and the "Vietnam Women's Award".

In the coming time, the Provincial Women's Union hopes to continue receiving attention and support from all levels and sectors so that women's creative start-up movements and activities can further develop.

At the activity of connecting supply and demand for products of women's union members, delegates representing women's unions at all levels, female entrepreneurs, businesswomen, owners of production and business establishments, and women's union members exchanged and shared many contents related to product quality standards; current market demand; issues of business administration and product branding; digital transformation in production and business activities...

In particular, delegates listened to the owners of quality start-up projects that have won awards organized by the Provincial Women's Union and the Central Women's Union share their experiences in the process of improving product quality, connecting and consuming products through e-commerce...

This is also an opportunity to meet, trade, connect, cooperate in business, promote brands and products to consumers and partners; thereby having appropriate production and business strategies to meet the increasing demands of the market. Within the framework of the conference, there was also a signing ceremony of contracts and memorandums of understanding on product consumption between manufacturers, suppliers, distributors and consumers.

On this occasion, the Provincial Women's Union also organized activities to display and introduce start-up products of female members; the contest "Cooking with Nestelé - Full taste of homeland" and awarded prizes in the contest "Proposing ideas and start-up projects in 2024" to 11 authors with quality start-up ideas.
