Fresh flower prices increase sharply

Ms. Anh Binh (owner of a flower shop in My Dinh) said: "These days, flowers are very expensive so I don't dare buy too much. Most customers order as much as they want, there are only a few bouquets left, customers who don't order but buy them on the same day will sell out."

According to this trader, the price of fresh flowers only temporarily “cooled down” a few days after Tet, then increased again because the demand for flowers was quite high. “This year, the weather was warm before Tet, and those who bought flowers early had their flowers withered by the 4th or 5th of Tet. The Tet atmosphere was still there, so many families bought new flowers, so the purchasing power was quite stable,” said Ms. Anh Binh.

After the above days, flower prices started to increase again to the same level as Tet because the Full Moon Festival in January and Valentine's Day on February 14 are coming.

Ms. Tran Thi Anh (flower grower in Tay Tuu village - Bac Tu Liem) also said: "This year, flower growers are very happy because the flowers are beautiful and sell well. There are still many types of fresh flowers and the selling price can be maintained until the end of January."

Currently, the prices of many types of fresh flowers are high. Specifically: medium-branch yellow roses, fragrant roses 60,000 VND/bunch of 20 flowers; VIP lemon yellow single flowers 100,000 VND/bunch of 10 branches; Tay Tuu yellow chrysanthemums 4,000 VND/flower.

On this occasion, multi-colored ranunculus flowers are also quite expensive, 70,000 VND/bunch of 9-10 flowers; VIP swan flowers 80,000 VND/10 flowers; wall orchids 85,000 VND/bunch; medium-sized willow flowers 50,000 VND/bunch...

It is noted that this year the variety of flowers is very rich, with brilliant colors. Many forecasts say that the price of fresh flowers will continue to increase as the holidays approach, the demand increases. In particular, on the occasion of February 14 this year, the market may have many special expensive bouquets.
