National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue offers incense to heroic martyrs

The delegation included Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung; Secretary General of the National Assembly and Head of the National Assembly Office Bui Van Cuong; Chairman of the National Assembly's Economic Committee Vu Hong Thanh, Chairman of the Finance and Budget Committee Le Quang Manh; Chairman of the Law Committee Hoang Thanh Tung; Chairman of the Culture and Education Committee Nguyen Dac Vinh, along with leaders of several central ministries and branches and leaders of Thua Thien Hue province.

The National Assembly Chairman and the delegation respectfully commemorated the heroic martyrs at the Hue City Martyrs Cemetery.

At the Hue City Martyrs' Cemetery (An Tay Ward, Hue City), National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh rang the bell at the Hoa Binh bell tower to pray for national peace and prosperity. The National Assembly Chairman and the delegation respectfully offered flowers and incense at the Hue City Martyrs' Cemetery Memorial. This is the resting place of more than 2,000 heroic martyrs from all over the country who heroically sacrificed their lives for the cause of national liberation and reunification, for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland, and for the happiness of the people.

Before the souls of the heroic martyrs, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue and the delegation expressed their respect and deep gratitude for the great contributions and dedication of the heroic martyrs to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the independence and freedom of the nation.

In the afternoon of the same day, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue and the delegation also visited and presented gifts to Mr. Nguyen Minh Luc's family. Mr. Luc's family has been worshiping martyr Ton That Canh - Hero of the People's Armed Forces, veteran revolutionary cadre, first Political Commissar of Thua Thien Hue Police. Martyr Ton That Canh also had 2 children who were martyrs, both of whom died in 1947; his wife, Ms. Nguyen Thi Tran, was awarded the title of Vietnamese Heroic Mother by the Party and State. Martyr Ton That Canh's family was awarded 8 golden words by Uncle Ho "A loyal family - Forever famous".

The National Assembly Chairman also visited and presented gifts to war invalid Tran Ba ​​Luu, who was 71% disabled during the resistance war and participated in protecting the Zone 5 Party Committee, liberating the South, and joining the Vietnamese volunteer army in Laos.

At the families, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue warmly visited and informed them that our Party and State always remember the contributions of heroic martyrs and wounded soldiers who sacrificed their blood and bones for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland; and always do their best to repay the debt of gratitude. The National Assembly Chairman and the delegation hope that the families will continue the revolutionary tradition and continue to make many contributions to the cause of building and defending the country.
