The Ministry of Public Security has issued a decision to allocate enrollment quotas for public security academies and schools in 2025.

In 2025, police schools and academies will recruit a total of 2,200 new students, with 300 students at intermediate level.
Specifically, the university level recruits 2,200 positions, applicable to high school students, active duty soldiers, and citizens who have completed their service in the People's Public Security with a discharge decision within 12 months. The intermediate level recruits 300 positions and the second degree is 850 positions.
On February 18, the Fire Prevention and Fighting University also announced the recruitment of 200 full-time university students, including 180 males and 20 females. The school will announce the civilian quota later.
New university-level recruitment of Security and Police majors at the People's Security Academy, People's Police Academy, People's Security University, and People's Police University is applied to all 8 recruitment regions and is divided into the Northern region (from Hue and above) and the Southern region (from Da Nang and below).
Enrollment for university level at the People's Public Security Political Academy, the Fire Prevention and Fighting University, the People's Public Security Technical and Logistics University, the International Academy; Information Security/Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention at the People's Security Academy; enrollment into the People's Security Academy for training cooperation with the University of Information Technology and Communications (Hanoi University of Science and Technology), training in Information Technology enrolling into the People's Public Security Technical and Logistics University to send students for university training at the Military Medical Academy, Ministry of National Defense is carried out nationwide.
Previously, the Ministry of Public Security announced the structure of the 2025 competency assessment exam. The exam consists of 3 parts: Compulsory essay, Compulsory multiple choice and Optional multiple choice. Candidates will take the exam in 180 minutes, with a total score of 100.
The required essay section includes one social argument with a maximum total score of 25.
The mandatory multiple choice test includes 35 Math questions (35 points), 10 History questions (10 points), and 20 Foreign Language questions (15 points).
The optional multiple choice test has 15 questions (15 points). Candidates choose one of the following subjects: Physics (CA1), Chemistry (CA2), Biology (CA3), Geography (CA4).
Currently, the Ministry of Public Security is drafting guidelines for public security recruitment in 2025, which will specify the time, order, procedures, and methods of organizing public security recruitment.
