The index of industrial production (IIP) for the whole industry in May 2023 is estimated to increase by 2.2% over the previous month and increase by 0.1% over the same period last year.
In the first 5 months of 2023, IIP is estimated to decrease by 2% compared to the same period last year. Of which, the processing and manufacturing industry decreased by 2.5%; the electricity production and distribution industry increased by 0.8%; the mining industry decreased by 3.5%; the water supply, waste and wastewater management and treatment industry increased by 6.4%.
