Thanks to focusing on production and timely delivery of year-end goods before the Lunar New Year holiday, Nam Dinh province's industrial production in January 2025 increased by 29.49%.
According to data just announced by the Nam Dinh Statistics Office, compared to the same period in 2024 (the month before Tet), the industrial production index of the whole industry in January 2025 increased by 29.49% with the positive contribution of new enterprises.
Of which, the processing and manufacturing industry increased by 29.86%, contributing 29.18 percentage points to the overall increase; the electricity, gas, hot water, steam and air conditioning production and distribution industry increased by 2.82%, contributing 0.07 percentage points; the water supply, waste and wastewater management and treatment industry increased by 27.26%, contributing 0.41 percentage points; the mining industry alone decreased by 44.31%, decreasing by 0.17 percentage points.

Some secondary industries had an industrial production index in January 2025 that increased compared to the same period last year: Production of leather and related products increased by 48.32%; textiles increased by 47.38%; food processing increased by 26.02%; garment production increased by 22.57%; electrical equipment production increased by 18.34%; bed, cabinet, table and chair production increased by 10.70%; wood processing and production of wood, bamboo and rattan products increased by 3.40%. Some industries had a decreased production index: Production of paper and paper products decreased by 33.53%; metal production decreased by 7.84%; production of prefabricated metal products (except machinery and equipment) decreased by 6.24%.
Some key industrial product groups in January 2025 increased compared to the previous year: Fabrics of all kinds increased by 31.6%; shoes and sandals increased by 25.5%; ready-made clothes increased by 24.0%; printed products increased by 17.3%; insulating wires increased by 16.2%; wooden tables and chairs of all kinds increased by 8.7%; confectionery of all kinds increased by 7.3%; milled rice increased by 3.6%; rattan and bamboo products of all kinds increased by 1.7%.
On the other hand, some products decreased compared to the same period last year: White wine with alcohol content of 25 degrees or more decreased by 21.4%; towels of all kinds decreased by 20.7%; iron and steel doors and windows decreased by 5.0%.
According to the Nam Dinh Statistics Office, computer products of QMH Computer Co., Ltd. (under Quanta Group) are new products in the area with large volumes, estimated to bring in monthly revenue from 1,700 billion to more than 2,000 billion in the first months of 2025, contributing greatly to the production value of the entire industry.
