On July 29, the project to renovate Thuy Van Street (Bai Sau area, Vung Tau city) with a total investment of more than 1,094 billion VND broke ground.

This is a public investment project from the budget of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province with 12 major items. Including the central square on the ground, pedestrian bridge, sea restaurants, green park.
In which, the two main items are upgrading the technical infrastructure of Thuy Van street and building Thuy Van park.
Thuy Van Street alone will have its median strip renovated, its rainwater and wastewater drainage system upgraded, and trees replaced appropriately. In addition, 5 pedestrian tunnels are planned on the route with a total estimated investment of 154 billion VND.

The park project will be implemented on a total area of over 19.2 hectares. It includes renovating the existing park area from Phan Chu Trinh Street to the Tourist Management and Support Center (building A3) with an area of about 2.15 hectares.
In addition, a new park of more than 17 hectares will be built from San Ho Xanh tourist area to Nguyen An Ninh street with culinary, festival and experience spaces.
Mr. Doan Hai Linh, Director of Vung Tau Construction Investment Project Management Board (investor) said that the compensation and site clearance work is being implemented quickly. 7/9 units have handed over land with a total area of over 13.9 hectares (83%).
There are 2 units that have not yet been assigned. If they do not comply with the policy, Vung Tau City People's Committee will review the legal basis to serve as a basis for implementing site clearance work at this location according to legal regulations.
It is expected that the project will complete procedures to start construction on August 29 and be completed on April 30, 2025.
In addition, the upgrade for Bai Sau also aims to develop Vung Tau city into a high-quality, international-class tourism center (under the planning of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050).
