Early this morning (December 20), a large fire broke out at two stores selling cosmetics, clothes and children's toys in Phuoc Thai commune, Long Thanh district, Dong Nai.

According to initial information, at around 4:20 a.m. the same day, Ms. LTD's children's toy and clothing store suddenly caught fire. The fire broke out from the signboard area and quickly spread to Mr. LQN's cosmetics store next door.

The fierce fire and thick black smoke threatened surrounding shops and homes near the scene.

At the time of the fire, there were 8 people inside the two stores who were promptly assisted by on-site firefighters to get out safely.

Upon receiving the news, the Fire Police and Rescue Force mobilized many fire trucks and dozens of officers and soldiers to put out the fire.

At the scene, rescuers rescued a man trapped on the rooftop of Mr. N's house to safety.

After about an hour of implementing control and cooling measures, the fire was completely extinguished at 5:45 a.m. the same day. The fire did not cause any human casualties but burned down a lot of property.

Authorities are assessing the damage and investigating the cause of the incident.
