On July 7, Binh Chanh District Police (HCMC) were still investigating the fire at a wooden pallet yard on Lien Ap 2-6 Street, Vinh Loc A Commune.
Previously, at around noon the same day, a wooden pallet storage yard of thousands of square meters at the end of the alley on Lien Ap 2-6 Street suddenly caught fire.
The fire, with its red flames and black smoke billowing hundreds of meters high, threatened to spread to dozens of adjacent houses. People nearby were panicking and quickly evacuated their belongings and fled away from the fire area.
Immediately upon receiving the fire alarm, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Team of Binh Chanh District Police dispatched many vehicles and dozens of officers and soldiers to the scene.
The fire was brought under control at 3 p.m. the same day. The fire caused the iron frames and roof of the warehouse to collapse.
