High school students have the opportunity to test their abilities, demonstrate their ability to solve business challenges and win scholarships worth a total of more than 8.4 billion VND at the competition.
The "Vietnam Business Innovation Challenge (VBIC)" competition is organized by Olympia High School and Fulbright University Vietnam to create a playground exclusively for high school students in Vietnam and Southeast Asia.
With the theme "Creating from tradition", the competition challenges the young generation to reshape traditional business values through creative and innovative thinking.
The competition presents real-world business challenges, encouraging students to work together to find solutions.
Young people will receive guidance from a team of advisors who are founders, chairmen of the board of directors, directors and leaders from businesses.
Participants are students aged 14 - 18 (at the time of registration) and studying at high schools in the Southeast Asian region.
The entry criteria are that students have basic knowledge or interest in one of the following areas: Business Foundations; Economics and Finance; Problem Solving and Analytical Skills. Candidates must be fluent in English to complete the competition tasks entirely in English.
Students register in teams of 3 members.
The teams will go through the following rounds:
Round 1 - Profile selection (from March 5 to March 14): After receiving the topic of the real business challenge of the enterprise, the teams will have 20 days to send back to the organizing committee a video presenting the group's analysis and solution.
Round 2 - Selection (from March 24 to April 5): After receiving the real business challenge from the enterprise, the teams will have 15 hours to prepare and submit their analysis and solutions. The teams will then present their results online to the judges.
Round 3 - Final (expected on April 19): After receiving the topic of the real business challenge of the enterprise, the teams will have 3 hours to prepare, then present offline to the judges.
Students participating in the competition have the opportunity to win a 4-year university scholarship worth more than 8.4 billion VND. Of which, a partial scholarship for 4 years of university study at Fulbright University Vietnam, worth 60% for the first prize winning team, 50% for the second prize winning team and 40% for the third prize winning team.
Free tuition to participate in the 1-week Innovation Bootcamp program at Fulbright University Vietnam (total value of 135 million VND); scholarships for short-term courses from the University of Adelaide worth 24 million VND for the top 2 teams.
