Chau Thanh starts construction of housing phase 1 in 2025

Accordingly, the Steering Committee held a groundbreaking ceremony and presented a symbolic board of funding to build and remove temporary and dilapidated houses for Mrs. Phan Thi De's household in Huu Chien hamlet, Huu Dinh commune. This is a policy household with housing difficulties.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Chairman of the District People's Committee Pham Van Sang said that the campaign to support the construction of houses for policy households, poor households, near-poor households, and households with housing difficulties in the district in 2025 is a major campaign with profound political, social and humane significance, launched by the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee throughout the district in conjunction with the emulation movement of the whole country joining hands to "eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses".

Implementing the Prime Minister's direction on responding to the emulation movement "Joining hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses nationwide in 2025", Chau Thanh district has inspected, reviewed and made a list and the Provincial People's Committee has approved a list of 160 households (including policy households, poor households, near-poor households, and households in difficult circumstances) that need to build new or repair houses. Of which, 93 households will be newly built and 67 households will be repaired; implementing phase 1, the district strives to complete 72 households (including 40 new households and 32 repaired households) before April 30, 2025 for policy households, poor households, near-poor households, and households in difficult circumstances to receive support for repairing and rebuilding to soon stabilize their lives.

“The program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses is a key and urgent program of the Party and State in 2025. The District Steering Committee requests the Steering Committee of Huu Dinh commune and the Steering Committees of the remaining communes and towns of the district to continue to promote the achieved results, focus on leadership, direct resolutely and synchronously the solutions in supporting the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses according to the direction of the province, strive with the district to complete 72 houses for policy households, poor households, near-poor households, and households with housing difficulties by the end of April 2025.” - The Chairman of the District People's Committee emphasized.

Commencing construction of phase 1 housing in 2025 is an activity to implement Plan No. 01-KH/BCĐ dated March 25, 2025 of the Steering Committee for the implementation of the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses in Chau Thanh district on the implementation of the construction of temporary and dilapidated houses in the district in 2025. At the same time, promoting the response to the emulation movement "Joining hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses" in the district to make achievements to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).
