Ha Long Carnival 2024 is exciting and attractive to tourists

At 8:10 p.m. on April 28, Ha Long Carnival 2024 with the theme "Lighting up with Wonders" officially opened at Ocean Park beach (Vo Nguyen Giap street, Bai Chay ward, Ha Long).

Attending the event were Mr. Nguyen Xuan Thang, Politburo member, Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council, Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics; Member of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the National Assembly's Economic Committee Vu Hong Thanh; National Assembly deputies; representatives of the embassies of Laos, Thailand, China, the United States, international delegates; leaders of ministries, central agencies and Quang Ninh province; leaders of several northern provinces along with thousands of people, tourists, artists, actors at home and abroad.

Since 2007, Ha Long Carnival has become an annual event, a unique cultural and tourism brand of Quang Ninh, becoming a familiar and favorite meeting place for locals and tourists through 17 times of organization.

This is one of the most unique tourism products, the most impressive street festival every summer that Quang Ninh has maintained and developed over the years, leaving deep impressions and memories in the hearts of every tourist when immersed in the festival atmosphere. At the same time, through the program, we aim to build Ha Long into a city of heritage, a city of flowers and festivals, to celebrate the 49th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2024), the 138th anniversary of International Labor Day (May 1, 1886 - 2024) and towards the 30th anniversary of Ha Long Bay being recognized by UNESCO as a World Natural Heritage.

Ha Long Carnival 2024 has new and attractive features with live art performances and is the first Carnival at sea in Vietnam.

This is also the first time the Carnaval program has organized performances and parades on the sea and on the sandbank of Ha Long Bay with musical art elements, harmoniously combining history and culture to highlight the World Heritage-Natural Wonder of Ha Long Bay at night.

The program brings together the creative team, leading artists and artisans in Vietnam; international delegations from Hokkaido (Japan), Guangxi (China), Laos, Thailand and European dance groups along with nearly 2,000 actors, singers, musicians, artisans from the Northeast region; amateur actors, domestic and international art troupes participating in the performance.

In particular, the program also includes 3D Mapping performances and Drone light performances (drones arranged in shapes) showing many unique and characteristic images associated with the people and identity of Quang Ninh.

Along with the Ha Long Carnival program, on this occasion, Ha Long City also held a series of special festival, sports, cultural and tourism events such as the opening of the walking street and cuisine of Bai Chay ward; sports competitions; Beer and squid cake festival; Lion, lion and dragon festival; Ha Long City Zumba club festival; Ha Long City modern dance group festival; Tran Quoc Nghien Temple festival; Kite flying festival with the theme "Fly high kites of aspiration..."
