The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam has just approved not to make a reserve airport at Can Tho International Airport during the inspection, assessment and maintenance process of the airport's runways and taxiways.
Accordingly, Can Tho International Airport has just sent a document requesting the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam to approve not performing the task of being a reserve airport during the time of inspection, assessment and establishment of maintenance procedures for runways and taxiways at Can Tho International Airport.
Can Tho International Airport will not be used as a backup airport for airlines from November 16 to December 14 to conduct inspection and evaluation of the airport's runway and taxiway procedures.
Previously, according to the decision of the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam, Can Tho International Airport was on the list of 15 airports and airports performing the task of being a reserve airport.
After consideration and research, the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam approved Can Tho International Airport not to be used as a backup airport for airlines from 9:00 p.m. the previous day to 4:00 a.m. the following day from November 16 to December 14 (local time) to carry out inspection, assessment and establish maintenance procedures for the airport's runways and taxiways.
The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam requested the Vietnam Air Traffic Management Corporation to carry out procedures to notify related aviation information.
The Regional Airport Authority is responsible for monitoring, inspecting and supervising compliance with procedures and regulations on security, safety, fire prevention and environmental sanitation throughout the construction period to ensure safety for flight operations.
