Capital Place Building (Ba Dinh District, Hanoi) was presented by Ms. Truong My Lan at the court with an estimated value of 1 billion USD and is being sold by her daughter to remedy the consequences. According to initial information, someone has asked to buy it for 360 million USD.

Capital Place building is located at the intersection of Lieu Giai - Kim Ma - Nguyen Chi Thanh streets (Ba Dinh district, Hanoi).
Responding to the Trial Panel about the direction of property settlement to remedy the consequences of the case, Ms. Truong My Lan said that one of her two daughters is selling a building in Hanoi, estimated to be worth 1 billion USD. Regarding this information, the presiding judge asked Ms. Lan if the building she mentioned was the Capital Palace building at 29 Lieu Giai, Hanoi. Ms. Lan confirmed that it was correct. After Ms. Lan confirmed, the presiding judge said that according to information sent to the court by her daughter, someone asked to buy this building for 360 million USD, not 1 billion USD as Ms. Lan stated.
According to research, Capital Palace building has a total leasing area of 93,550 m2 and a total commercial leasing area of 5,279 m2.
The entire space is surrounded by a 2.7 m high glass system covering from floor to ceiling and 360 degree panoramic views.
Capital Palace is considered a Grade A office building in the central area of Hanoi with tenants being multinational corporations such as HSBC Vietnam, Porsche, Standard Chartered Bank Vietnam, Shopee...

Ms. Truong My Lan said that this building was previously purchased for 700 million USD, adding the cost of completing the paperwork, so Ms. Lan estimated that this building was worth 1 billion USD.
In addition, the company of Ms. Truong My Lan, Chairwoman of Van Thinh Phat Group, has 93.6% of shares in Daewoo Hanoi Hotel. This is a 5-star hotel, once ranked among the top in Vietnam, has been through many owners and is located opposite the Capital Place building.
